THE EXCELLENT JACKET
The Korean-collared jacket is obviously of ancient and oriental origin, but what counts is the way it was passed down to us. In the sixties, it rose to fame thanks to the Beatles and was subsequently worn by Sean Connery in his role as James Bond. In the eighties, it was launched on international runways by Giorgio Armani and from then on, has become a feature in collections of ceremonial attire as a variant of the half dinner suit. It can be worn with matching or contrasting waistcoat and trousers and confers a unique touch of refinement to the outfit.
